Jason Momoa Brings Crazy Energy To Fast X: Review

Marvel Studios Wants To Grab Jason Momoa From DC Films

Jason Momoa and his manic energy lifts Fast X to another level. In the DCEU, Jason Momoa has behind the Trinity of Henry Cavill‘s Superman, Ben Affleck‘s Batman, and Gal Gadot‘s Wonder Woman. However, in Fast X, Jason Momoa is the main attraction.

Forget Aquaman. Momoa is the villain here, and he steals the movie.

I got to watch a preview of Fast X, which is out this weekend in theaters, specifically May 19. I have a love-hate relationship with the Fast & Furious franchise personally. I think it’s outlived its run, but I did enjoy some of them.

Fast Five is one of my favorites. The Fate of the Furious as well. Every one complains about the “family” arc and the outrageous logic-defying action. They did make some tongue-in-cheek comedy bits in this and it was well-placed. Although I thought I would dislike this movie, I really enjoyed it.

The franchise has put themselves in this interesting situation where they have all these great action superstars on their roster. And I think something snapped while they were making this movie. I believe they looked at each other and said, “let’s make some great action sequences with all these great stars that we have.”

And they did it.

Back in time, Sylvester Stallone wanted to create the the All-Star Team of Action Superstars with his Expendables movies. I don’t know if it’s on purpose or completely by accident, but Fast & Furious right now with Fast X has done that.

Ladies and gentlemen, they have right now the All-Star team of heroes and villains, antagonists and protagonists. They started to really leverage that with this movie. All the action sequences were great.

Even the logic-defying car scenes, explosions and, oh boy, you’re going get get more of that.

But definitely the action sequences are really thrilling.

I cannot find fault with anything in Fast X. The story’s compelling, for one thing.

It had me interested in Fast X from start to finish. They now have solidified themselves as the action franchise to beat.

And Jason Momoa as the villain was spectacular.

He was the star of this film. His character, without any spoilers, was very chaotic. Very similar to the Joker in Batman’s stories, but in Momoa’s own way. Kudos to him. Very well-presented villain.

I gotta give it a four out of five stars. I’m an action movie fan. It had everything I had hoped for. If you are a super fan of the Fast & Furious movies, you’ll love this installment. This film is going to blow your mind.

They’re super serving their fans. I give it a full four out of five stars
