He-Man Will Take Spotlight in Masters of the Universe Revelation

He-Man grabs the spotlight in the next five episodes of Masters of the Universe: Revelation on Netflix.

Rage-driven speculation and erroneous information exploded online regarding the series’ future.

Much of the fake coverage twist present push a specific narrative: He-Man is in the backseat of his own program.

Teela, they report, is the true star of Masters of the Universe: Revelation.

On my Geek Streets YouTube show with Syl Abdul Saturday afternoon, I explained He-Man grabs a significant portion of the second half.

Writer/executive producer Kevin Smith confirmed it all on his FatMan Beyond podcast.

Moreover, Smith even teased an brutal fight between He-Man and Skeletor in an upcoming episode.

Masters of the Universe: Revelation is like one lengthy animated film told in parts.

Imagine judging a movie by its first half without seeing its second; that’s exactly what is happening.

Predictably, haters bash Masters of the Universe: Revelation with the same kind of tiresome review bombs and click-bait falsehoods as Captain Marvel.

Given that Black Widow is already out and Star Wars gained back its respectability and fan passion on Disney Plus, Smith’s series fills the punching bag void for click revenue.

Granted, some of Smith’s creative decisions could honestly rattle longtime fans; that’s a given with every intellectual property.

The issue here is the misinformation.

First of all, Smith doesn’t have total control over Masters of the Universe: Revelation.

Moreover, neither does Netflix.

Mattel wouldn’t allow He-Man to vanish and have Teela take over.

That doesn’t make any sense. Or, in this case, cents.

Mattel wants and needs to sell He-Man toys. Why would they have him fade away?

Yes, in case anyone has forgotten, this is based on a decades-old toy line.

Netflix hasn’t announced when the latter part of Season One will be released.

Insiders explain it has little resemblance to the fake news certain outlets circulated.

Whether it’s good or bad remains to be seen.

But He-Man isn’t going anywhere.

Mattel would never allow it, even if Smith pushed for it, and he didn’t.
