The series chronicles his life, especially how he navigates his way through family and dating.
Showrunner Steve Joe will write and also executive produce the series with Michael Golamco and Randall Park.
Park, Jimmy Woo in the MCU, is also a writer on the show as well.
Park surged in popularity after WandaVision on Disney Plus.
Jo Koy made his Netflix debut in 2017 with Jo Koy: Live From Seattle.

The stand-up comic was actually born in nearby Tacoma, Washington.
A massive star in Filipino-American communities throughout the country, Jo Koy is well-loved locally beyond Pinoy audiences.
He is known for taking most of his comedic material from his background as a Filipino-American; therefore, he won over audiences both in the Philippines and America.
Jo Koy gained prominence and immediately earned status as an example of a popular Fil-Am celebrity.
A lot of other big-league names that are Filipino are Dave Bautista; Bruno Mars; and Miss Universe titleholders Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray; and Hailee Steinfeld.
