Netflix’ Jessica Jones has a new title in Disney Plus, and because of this, there are rumors of a revival series.

Fans of Jessica Jones starring Kristen Ritter have been wondering when she will come into the MCU.

We already have seen Charlie Cox return as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home, being Peter Parker’s lawyer. So did Vincent D’Onofrio appear as well in Disney Plus’ Hawkeye as its main villain.

One by one, Netflix’ Defenders enter the MCU.

Jessica Jones stands out from the rest of the Netflix shows mainly because she doesn’t really show off her powers. She does have super strength, but she only uses her powers when needed. After all, she doesn’t want the attention.

Jessica Jones works as a private investigator in her own detective agency called Alias Investigations. She originally called herself Jewel in her costumed superhero days. But after her traumatic experience with Kilgrave (David Tennant), she mostly kept to herself.

The Netflix series lasted for three seasons from 2015 to 2019. Critics praised the gritty violence and superb acting.

Disney Plus retitled the old show as A.K.A. Jessica Jones. It’s not really a drastic change of a title, but it is significant. It’s actually the original name of the series. At the time, ABC was developing it.

A.K.A. also means Alias. Alias is the original comic book where she first appeared in Alias No. 1 in 2001. Writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Michael Gaydos co-created her.

A.K.A. Jessica Jones gave rise to speculation of a revival series. That would join fellow Netflix veteran Daredevil.

Marvel Studios continues to develop a new Daredevil program with Cox and D’Onofrio. So fans are thinking that a new Jessica Jones series might be also in the works.

Insiders claimed that Ritter will show up as Jessica Jones in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Ritter has teased us with her look which is very close to Jessica Jones back in March. She didn’t say if she was filming anything or not, but fans went bonkers with speculation.

Will Marvel Studios keep the earlier Netflix continuity? That’s still a mystery.
