Chris Hemsworth is signing on for three additional films with Marvel Studios after Thor: Love and Thunder.
According to a new report, he’s not leaving the MCU anytime soon.
Hemsworth has now been bringing Thor to life for Marvel Studios for over ten years now.
Moreover, he is showing no signs of retiring from the role.
In fact, after his much needed revamp in 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok, he’s more popular than ever.
After the departures of Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and Scarlett Johansson, three of the original six Avengers, numerous fans debated if Hemsworth would follow.
Would he hang up his hammer and cape?
It could be a long time before that happens.
Hemsworth struck gold with director Taika Waititi.
Waititi’s comedic, quirky sensibilities uncovered the character’s humorous side.
Suddenly, Hemsworth sharpened Thor’s personality; critics and audiences tossed substantial praise at Thor: Ragnarok.
Nevertheless, the leak acknowledged it’s not yet known what these projects that Hemsworth has signed up for are.
The report admitted that:
Beyond Love and Thunder, we were unable to confirm what the three new titles will be for Chris Hemsworth.
One of these movies that he might’ve signed on for could be Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
After all, the Guardians are set to return in Love and Thunder alongside Chris Hemsworth, following the ending of Avengers: Endgame.

Moreover, Thor joined the team so it would make sense for the character to show up in Vol. 3 in a similar role that the Guardians will play in Thor: Love and Thunder.
Another one of these projects would likely be the next Avengers crossover film in development which is going to be based on the Secret Wars storyline.
Furthermore, since it’s shaping up to be the next Endgame-level event for the MCU, it would bizarre of them to not include Thor.
Chris Hemsworth discovered a newfound love for the role in Thor: Ragnarok thanks to Waititi’s different vision for the character and the franchise.
It was refreshing compared to the previous Thor: The Dark World.
That left both fans and Chris Hemsworth himself feeling underwhelmed.
Chris Hemsworth has even said that he hopes to continue playing Thor for as long as he possibly can.
