Robert Pattinson Wants to Adapt Batman: The Long Halloween

The Batman with Robert Pattinson hasn’t even been shown yet; however, he knows what the sequel should be.

Director Matt Reeves’ upcoming movie is based on Bruce Wayne’s early days as Batman.

It’s not connected to the Snyderverse; therefore, it’s Batman with a fresh new start.

Filming already ended in March 2021; it is now in post-production.

Of course, a Batman sequel is still unknown at this time.

After all, it all depends on how it performs in the box office.

Reeves, in case he plans to do a sequel, might already have ideas on what to do on the next movie since he’s a comic-book fan himself.

It has been reported that Robert Pattinson is already thinking of ideas on what to do on the next movie.

He wants to do the comic book, Batman: The Long Halloween.

The Long Halloween is one of the most popular stories in Batman’s history.

This comic was part of the inspiration of Christopher Nolan’s movie, The Dark Knight.

Furthermore, it inspired the fourth season of the TV series Gotham starring Ben McKenzie.

In addition, Rocksteady Games borrowed some elements for its Batman: Arkham series of games.

The comic was released in 13 issues from 1996 to 1997.

The Long Halloween was written by Jeph Leob with art by Tim Sale.

The story is set one year after the events of Batman: Year One (1987), during the early days of the Dark Knight.

It follows the mysterious killer named Holiday.

Batman works with Harvey Dent and Captain James Gordon on finding the identity of the killer.

It even involves a Hannibal Lecter-like character with the name Calendar Man, who is guiding Batman but only in riddles.

The story spans the length of one year, and it also gave rise to Harvey Dent transforming into Two-Face.

Adapting The Long Halloween is not a bad idea.

It has already been adapted into a two-part animated movie just recently directed by Chris Palmer.

It was originally released in June 2021.

It’s an interesting piece of comic history, and it is quite fitting since it’s part of Batman’s early years.

If Robert Pattinson gets to do The Long Halloween, I’d love to see the origin of his friend turned foe Harvey Dent.

Although based on what Reeves has said to have done with The Batman, it is likely that they won’t adapt this but it’s not impossible that he can be inspired by it.
