The official synopsis is:

“After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers. Their new friend, April O’Neil, helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.”

All the voice actors are excellent, Jackie Chan as Splinter, Seth Rogen as Bebop, Nicolas Cantu as Leonardo, Micah Abbey as Donatello, Brady Noon as Raphael, Ayo Edebrir as April O’Neil, John Cena as Rocksteady, Ice Cube, Shamon Brown JR and many more.

I enjoyed this new take on our turtles in a half shell, some liberties were taken with the origin of the characters but still an enjoyable movie.

I enjoyed the art of the animation, it is like watching a graphic novel in motion. This movie is aimed for families and teens, with lots of Nickelodeon humor.

We have had so many versions of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and this version is unique for today’s day and age.

It’s a great introduction to the IP for new fans, although longtime fans might not like the liberties taken with the origin story, but it does set up the turtles on a new story path that we have not ever seen before.
