Spider-Man will acquire a new best bud in future Marvel films. As the kids say, his new friend will be lit. The Fantastic Four’s Human Torch is set to be Peter Parker’s next best pal.

In February 2020, I scooped that Spider-Man would appear in The Fantastic Four film.

This was nearly a year before Spider-Man director Jon Watts was going to helm the FF.

In fact, there were no rumors of it at all.

Spider-Man’s future inclusion in The Fantastic Four is rooted in comics.

The Fantastic Four met the wall-crawler in The Amazing Spider-Man No. 1 in 1963.

In fact, it was the first time Spider-Man met other heroes in the Marvel Universe.

Spidey was so poor that he tried to join the Fantastic Four.

He broke into the Baxter Building and fought them.

However, when he discovered that the Fantastic Four were non-profit, he is let down.

Co-creator/writer Stan Lee shattered the walls between reality and fantasy.

At DC Comics, no superhero had to ask for a job, especially from other crime fighters.

Marvel Studios wants to adapt this hilarious scenario for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.

It’d be the perfect way for him to meet scientist Reed Richards, but more importantly, Johnny Storm, otherwise known as the Human Torch.

In some ways, Johnny Storm is the antithesis of Peter Parker’s Spider-Man.

He is narcissistic and hotheaded. He’s not exactly the intellectual type, either.

In the comics, the opposite personalities made for hilarious reading.

Dan Slott’s Spider-Man/Human Torch: I’m With Stupid is the funniest comic I ever read.

Spider-Man And The Human Torch Have A Comedic History

Spider-Man and the Human Torch have a love/hate relationship that Marvel Studios seeks to pursue.

There are decades of comics establishing this.

Tom Holland paired with another young actor as the Human Torch could be explosive.

A buddy movie with the two was discussed.

While there’s no development yet, where there’s smoke, there’s fire.
