Sony Confirms Andrew Garfield And Tobey Maguire In Spider-Man: No Way Home

Sony confirmed that Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire will appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Yes, there are other outlets that claim it’s a tease.

But this is Geekosity, and we will cut through the promotional nonsense.

Empire Magazine unveiled an exciting cover teaser for their next issue.

It’ll be released on October 28.

Moreover, it will include an exclusive look into Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Furthermore, in anticipation for this release, they revealed two different pieces of cover art.

One features Spider-Man in his new integrated suit.

Doctor Octopus’ tentacles and Green Goblin’s pumpkin bombs envelop him.

The other is a beautiful mind-bending art piece showcasing the movie’s multiverse theme.

This version previews confirmed characters like Doctor Strange, the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, and Electro.

But in addition to them, this cover art confirmed the presence of another long-rumored Spider-Man villain for the movie: the Sandman.

It also has two spider symbols besides Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the center.

In response to this @SonyPicturesUK via their Twitter replied with not one, not two, but three spider emojis.

LOL, Sony, LOL.

While this doesn’t seem to reveal much when you first see it, it is actually more significant than you realize.

This can be seen as an indirect confirmation from the company themselves that Holland’s Peter Parker won’t be the only version.

In the past Sony Pictures’ various Twitter accounts have only posted one spider emoji when promoting any of their Spider-Man related releases.

Therefore, this adds a truck load of fuel to the fire that Andrew Garfield and Maguire are in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Sony loves this.

Will previous Spider-Man actors Maguire and Andrew Garfield be reprising their roles as their own variants of the wall crawler alongside Tom Holland?

Sony keeps the question on social-media overdrive to heighten the excitement. Smart move, actually.

Some may argue that the reason they posted three spider emojis is because this is Tom Holland’s third Spider-Man movie.

If you believe that, put the grass away.

True, when Geekosity owner Mikey Sutton first scooped the return of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire in October 2019, it seemed crazy.

But it was real. Moreover, Sony dropped so many hints and leaks since then that Holland doesn’t need to spoil it anymore.

At this point, it’s just a waiting game until Andrew Garfield is in the second trailer and all three in the third.
