Report: Charlie Cox’ Daredevil Heads To Spider-Man 4

Charlie Cox‘ Daredevil could swing back into Spider-Man’s life. According to a new rumor from The Cosmic Circus, the two cross paths again in Spider-Man 4.

If this sounds familiar, it should. On December 1, 2020, I scooped that Daredevil and Spider-Man will team up in a future MCU movie. As a matter of fact, I said it happens during Spider-Man’s college trilogy.

At the time, there was only speculation of Charlie Cox in Spider-Man: No Way Home. I wrote:

According to inside sources, there have been discussions of Spider-Man teaming up with Daredevil on the big screen. And the reason for their collaboration is because Spider-Man has a problem. A big problem. Actually, a big problem. As Peter Parker attends college (which will provide an idea of how long before this will transpire), his Spider-Man crime-fighting days are met with huge punches in the face. From the Kingpin.

In other words, it looks like Marvel Studios hasn’t scrapped the idea. The Cosmic Circus explained:

This street-level story, we’re being told, may actually handle the aftermath of Daredevil: Born Again. How the Disney+ show will play a role in the upcoming film, remains to be seen.

But when I originally leaked the information two years ago, Marvel Studios hadn’t announced the new Daredevil TV series yet. However, as years go by, the puzzle pieces form a bigger picture.

If Spider-Man 4 picks up where Daredevil: Born Again leaves off, someone will join him. Well, sort of. Without a doubt, Vincent D’Onofrio’s the Kingpin has to be in it, too. Again, like I revealed in 2020. It makes sense. After all, the Kingpin didn’t begin as a Daredevil villain. Indeed, the Kingpin first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man No. 50 in 1967. Decades writer/artist Frank Miller embedded the Kingpin in Daredevil’s life.

Spider-Man: No Way Home ended with tragedy and heartache. Consequently, Parker (Tom Holland) is maturing. Thus, his life takes a darker turn. As I reported on December 25, 2020, his bad guys are edgier as well. He needs Daredevil’s guidance.

Charlie Cox’ cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home elicited screams of joy in the theater. Furthermore, his guest shot on She-Hulk: Attorney at Law reminded audiences how wonderful his Daredevil was.

If this piece of gossip (and my old one) is accurate, expect to see Cox in costume fighting alongside Holland’s Spider-Man. Against the Kingpin. Admit it: You’re there opening day.
