Mephisto is the new owner of Avengers tower in the upcoming Ironheart Disney Plus series according to a new report.
For a while now there’s been much speculation about who bought Avengers tower in the MCU. It was revealed in Spider-Man: Homecoming by Happy Hogan that Tony Stark had sold the tower and moved the team upstate.
Moreover, the tower was shown to have go through a major redevelopment over the course of time between films. It’s been nearly five years now and we still have no clue as to who bought it.
In addition, Hawkeye even brought up the tower’s purchase in his Disney Plus spin-off series. Even then there was no tease about who the mysterious buyer could be.

However, a recent report might give us the answer we’ve been waiting for. Back when WandaVision was still airing, viewers were convinced that they knew the identity of the show’s hidden antagonist.
Who better to take on the all-powerful Scarlet Witch than the devil himself, Mephisto? For months, various media outlets shared reports of Mephisto’s possible role in the first MCU Disney Plus series.
Nonetheless, this didn’t turn out to be the case in the end. Kathryn Hahn’s nosy neighbour Agnes was later revealed to be the show’s true villain, the dark sorceress Agatha Harkness.
However, the Mephisto rumours are heating up again with the character set to appear in the Ironheart Disney Plus series. Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen has apparently been cast as the MCU’s Mephisto and was reportedly seen on set.
Furthermore, The Cosmic Circus has claimed that the demonic creature is the one who bought Avengers tower. Via their website, The Cosmic Circus wrote:
“Our sources can exclusively confirm that Mephisto was in fact the mysterious benefactor that purchased Avengers Tower from Tony Stark in Spider-Man: Homecoming. As of right now, we can’t confirm if Tony Stark knew who he was making a deal with, or if he did, why he made a deal with someone like Mephisto. Although Mephisto’s reason for wanting Avengers Tower lines up with what we alright know about Ironheart.”

Overall this all sounds rather outlandish but we’ve seen weird things happen in the MCU before.
