Fans mostly remember Bruce Timm and Paul Dini’s DCAU which brought us multiple fan favourite animated shows and tie-in movies. In addition, there’s also the Tomorrowverse, which currently consists of six animated movies and two short films.

The next instalment, Justice League: Warworld is scheduled to be released on July 25th. Originally announced at San Diego Comic-Con last year, Justice League: Warworld will loosely adapt the 2021 Superman comic book storyline.

Like other entries in the Tomorrowverse, the movie will be R-rated. Moreover, it will feature the returns of Jensen Ackles and Darren Criss as the respective voices of Batman and Superman.

Jensen previously voiced Batman in a two-part adaptation of the critically acclaimed graphic novel The Long Halloween. Criss has portrayed Superman in two Tomorrowverse movies so far, Superman: Man Of Tomorrow and the Legion Of Superheroes.

Furthermore, the trailer for the upcoming animated film was just released by Warner Bros. Animation. which teases an action-packed adventure. The trailer shows Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman all marooned on Warworld and separated from each other in different settings.

Each hero finds themselves stuck in an environment based on a certain time period from Earth history. Batman being stuck in the Prehistoric era, Wonder Woman in the Wild West and Superman in the 1940’s.
