Ahsoka Trailer Confirms Show Is A Sequel To Star Wars: Rebels

Ahsoka Disney Plus series official trailer further confirms the show is a direct sequel to Star Wars: Rebels. Disney and Lucasfilm have just released a new trailer for their next entry to the expanding Star Wars universe.

Ahsoka will pickup not long after where we last saw the character in The Mandalorian Season 2. Moreover, this second trailer has further confirmed that the series will serve as a fifth season to the hit animated series, Star Wars: Rebels.

Rosario Dawson reprises her role as the former Jedi Padawan as she continues her hunt for Grand Admiral Thrawn. However, it’s revealed that she’s not the only one who’s looking for the villain.

The fallen Jedi master and apprentice that we saw in the previous trailer are confirmed to also be searching for Thrawn. This was revealed by the master of the pair Baylan Skoll, who’s portrayed by the late and great Ray Stevenson.

In addition, we learn that Ahsoka Tano became a mentor of sorts to the young Mandalorian Sabine Wren. Eventually she walked away from her student like she walked away from her master Anakin Skywalker.

Nonetheless, the duo reunite in order to stop Thrawn before he has a chance to start a new Empire. Sabine’s focus seems to be more on bringing home her friend Ezra Bridger who was last seen sending himself and Thrawn into an unknown region of space.

It seems that their relationship had grown beyond friendship as Ahsoka reminds her of the dangers of personal feelings. Furthermore, Hera Syndulla attempts to assemble the Rebel Alliance to counter this looming threat knowing all too well what Thrawn is capable of.

Doctor Who star David Tennant also returns as the lightsaber-crafting droid Huyang who first appeared in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. He’s seen accompanying Ahsoka Tano on her journey teasing his role is much larger than we expected.

The trailer caps off with Ahsoka clashing with an unknown Inquistor who many speculate to be another fallen Jedi Bariss Offee. Tano and Offee often fought together in the Clone Wars, before the latter framed her for terrorist act.
