Zack Snyder's Justice League Rotten Tomatoes Score

Zack Snyder’s Justice League is now the director’s highest-rated film on Rotten Tomatoes; currently at 78%, it is Certified Fresh.

However, Zack Snyder has had a lackluster history with the review aggregate site.

Zack Snyder’s legion of fans have chastised Rotten Tomatoes for years, accusing it of bias and even conspiracy.

Ironically, Warner Bros. has a minority stake in Rotten Tomatoes.

The company that released his movies partially owns the site that links to numerous bad reviews of them.

Rotten Tomatoes simply compiles online reviews from hundreds of approved critics and produces an overall score based on their opinions.

For Zack Snyder, it’s been a long string of thumbs-down votes.

2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice received only a 28% score from the critics.

That’s a large part of the heartburn Warner Bros. felt about his DC work:

They believed it contributed greatly to the film not smashing a billion worldwide.

Justice League, the 2017 theatrical version, barely did better, earning just 40%.

Nevertheless, studio interference and Joss Whedon’s butchering of his original vision created the Frankenstein monster it became.

Of his previous DC movies, 2009’s Watchmen fared the best, Certified Fresh at 65%.

Each critic has his or her own personal biases; furthermore, a number of them don’t like comic-book or science-fiction movies.

In fact, I remember the terrible critiques Blade Runner and John Carpenter’s The Thing acquired in 1982; they’re thought of as classics now.

It’s unfortunate how tremendously influential Rotten Tomatoes has become.

You should always see something for yourself instead of relying on the views of others, especially strangers.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League getting his highest Rotten Tomatoes score ever won’t ensure success on HBO Max.

Nevertheless, it might convince those still on the fence to stream it.

Love it or loathe it yourself, at least reviewers are saying he did improve the film.
