Wizarding World Focus of New Harry Potter Shows

Warner Bros. is developing shows focused within the Wizarding World of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter.

J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter has been one of the most successful franchises under Warner Bros.

It’s so popular that the name Harry Potter and the Wizarding World is now a household name.

It’s not impossible to claim that the brand is now even larger than J. K. Rowling herself.

The last Harry Potter movie was the Deathly Hallows Part II, which was released in 2011.

Even after 10 years, the Wizarding World is still strong in the minds of many, and not just for those who call themselves Potterheads.

It is still capturing the heart of anyone who has a fascination towards magic and mystery regardless of their age.

Harry Potter’s legacy has even expanded to a play focusing on the child of Harry and Ginny.

The stage play premiered in July 2016 in the Palace Theater, London.

There are two movies (Fantastic Beasts) and an upcoming sequel focused on a wizard named Newt Scamander (played by Eddie Redmayne).

His story focuses on the events many years before Harry Potter’s existence.

There are several games under its brand like Hogwarts Mystery (2018) for the iOS and Android, a Pokemon Go style game called Wizards Unite (2019), and there is an upcoming game with an original story entitled Hogwarts Legacy (2022).

The new game is planned for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Android, and Windows.

Not to mention there are four active Wizarding World theme parks located in Florida, Hollywood, Osaka, Japan and coming soon in Beijing, China.

There is no shortage in possible stories that can be made in the Wizarding World.

Now Warner Bros. is now banking on making three new shows for the franchise.

It’s most likely that they will show this on HBO Max since they were looking for pitches since January of this year which was reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

Warner Bros. was even trying to get Emma Watson to return as Hermione Granger for her own spin-off show.

There is no confirmation if they are able to get her.

We are not sure what the other shows are about but since the Wizarding World has a lot of stories to share, they can even still refer to the books and still get a lot of content.

Think about the Deathly Hallows, what if there are more featured stories about them, not just the one we saw in the movie or read in the book?

Or how about an entire series about Quidditch?

There is a noted game in the books that it lasted for more than 100 days.

Or what about the Quibbler, the adventures of Xenophiluis Lovegood, the father of Luna Lovegood?

Or it’s highly likely that they made new stories too, since that didn’t stop Hogwarts Legacy game to make a completely new story that didn’t even involve J. K. Rowling.

All of the three shows are in early development.

No release dates yet nor do even have titles at this time.

It would be interesting to see the cast back together again if that is possible.

With the increasing quality of streaming shows, it might even be possible.

But regardless if they can get them or not, the Wizarding World is now beyond the mind of J. K. Rowling and it’s now growing on its own.
