Written By Dan Hickman • Toy Editor

Spider-Man dominates the Top-10 best Marvel action figures for Christmas.

Yes, it’s the most wonderful time of the year! Ho, ho, ho!

Nevertheless, it can be the most frustrating time of the year. Searching for the right gift to the collector in your life is challenging.

After much consideration, Dan’s Toybox has come up with a helpful list of the Top-10 Marvel figures. These are for you to sneak under the tree. Without further ado, here are my picks.

10. Marvel Legends Retro Fantastic Four Wave

Specifically, the Thing, the Human Torch, Mr. Fantastic, and the Invisible Woman.

First, I love the blue and white costumes. Yes, we’ve seen the Thing and Mr. Fantastic sculpts before. They continue to impress. The new Invisible Woman head sculpt is a departure from previous iterations.

Nevertheless, it looks just as good. Likewise, the Human Torch looks absolutely, well, fantastic. I was thrilled to see the black lines painted on him. They bring his comic-book appearance to life.

In addition, all of the figures come with great accessories. At the price point of $25 each, they can be found on Amazon.

9. Marvel Legends Retro Spider-Man Wave: Web Man

This is just a really cool figure. The opposite paint scheme and solid, if not spectacular, articulation makes this a neat addition. I’ve got him posed on my Spidey shelf and man, he’s just a sweet-looking figure.

Extra hands, including wall-crawling hands give him more playability. They just increase the fun factor. It’s worth the $24.99 at BigBadToyStore.

8. Marvel Legends What If..? Zombie Hunter Spider-Man

I have to work on completing this Wave but, for me, the Zombie Hunter Spidey was my own “must have.”

The variation on his Stark suit costume, coupled with Dr. Strange’s Levitation Cloak makes this a welcome addition.

The soiled-suit paint scheme is terrific. The masked and unmasked head sculpts are impressive. Lastly, the attention to detail breathes life into the character. I was fortunate to find mine in the wild at Walmart for a reasonable $22.

7. Marvel Legends No Way Home Wave Integrated Suit Spider-Man

I didn’t give this figure the best review, but it’s actually grown on me.

With the impending release of Spider-Man: No Way Home next week, jumping on this is a good idea. It should climb on the secondary market when the movie comes out. I also found this one at Walmart for $22. Moreover, I definitely recommend snagging one before they’re hard to find.

6. Marvel Legends Retro Spider-Man 2099

This figure is just plain fun. The stylized look of the costume and the accessories make this a neat figure. . I regret missing out on the original release.

But I’m thrilled to have this on my shelf now.

The figure is sleek and has excellent articulation. Certainly, it is a joy to pose around. He can be found for $24.99.

5. Marvel Legends Gamerverse Miles Morales

The look and texture of this figure leaps right off of the video-game screen. I love this version of the costume and cannot get over the color schemes.

Specifically, the mix of gloss and matte blacks engage the eyes. The very sharp “venom glow” fists can be interchanged with his regular hands. He also comes with a really sharp unmasked head sculpt that looks amazing.

I was very excited when I saw this figure would be released in the Spider-Man: No Way Home Wave. Fortunately, I was able to get him online at Amazon for $22.99. Nonetheless, he’s since jumped in price and is going for almost $39 there.

You can still pre-order him on BigBadToyStore for $24.99. I’m not certain he’ll arrive in time for Christmas.

4. Infinity Saga Iron Man/Thanos two pack

If you read my review, you’ll know that I think fairly highly of these figures.

Yes, there are some discrepancies between the paint schemes on Mark LXXXV and this version. but the accessories packed with Iron Man are incredible.

Thanos is a huge improvement over the Build A Figure version in virtually every way. Obviously, the price for the two-pack is much more reasonable than trying to complete the original Thanos BAF.

I found mine on Amazon for $59.98. Unfortunately, the popularity of this item has pushed the pricing there up to $74.

You can pre-order this set from BigBadToyStore for $69.99. Again, there is no guarantee they will arrive by Christmas.

Well, we’ve covered seven out of the top 10. Now we’re down to the final three. This was a tough call to make yet I’m pleased with my top three choices.

3. Gamestop Exclusive Sentinel Miles Morales Into the Spider-Verse

Wow. All I have to say is that this is an absolute joy to own. It’d be the best choice for anybody looking to put together an Into the Spider-Verse collection.

The sheer amount of accessories and display choices that this figure offers is nothing short of phenomenal. The articulation for this figure makes him one of my most posable, nicest-looking figures.

This is a Gamestop Exclusive and is listed online for $87.99. Check online or even at your local Gamestop for availability.

2. Medicom Mafex #113 Spider-Man Far From Home Upgraded Suit Figure

Medicom Mafex #113 Spider-Man Far From Home Upgraded Suit Figure

For a long time, this was my favorite Spider-Man figure. Mafex loads their figures with great accessories, articulation, and incredibly detailed appearance.

This figure is solid and doesn’t really suffer from the old Mafex QC issues. The interchangeable masked heads, multiple hands, webs, and cell phone give this figure some serious options for posing and playing.

If you read my review, you know that I’m a huge fan. I cannot say enough about how much Mafex has improved their offerings. This Spider-Man is one of their best.

I found mine on Amazon for about $94. However, the price on this figure has definitely jumped. He’s now up to about $117 on that website.

I would recommend doing some searching, but I suspect that finding him for less than $100 anywhere might be difficult.

1. Medicom Mafex # 143 Ben Reilly Spider-Man

Medicom Mafex # 143 Ben Reilly Spider-Man

If you were wondering what replaced the Upgrade Suit Spidey as my favorite, look no further.

I will be working on the review for this figure over the next week or so. Until then, I highly recommend it.

As with the number 2 entry on this list, this Spider-Man is solid in every way. Beyond that, he comes with a number of great accessories.

He may be difficult to find online as he was a pre-order for me way back in March.

I bought mine for $95 at Big Bad Toy Store.

Though I know they are currently sold out, he is showing up on secondary locations such as eBay and Mercari for $75 and much higher.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of our wonderful readers! Thanks for checking out our holiday edition of the toybox. Until next time…Geek Out!
