There's A Famous Batman Missing From The Flash Movie - George Clooney Chris O'Donnell

There’s a missing Batman in The Flash film, and he’s probably one few wanted to see again.

George Clooney is one of most prolific actors in the movie industry.

He’s been in space in Gravity (2013), a fox in Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009), and a sailor in The Perfect Storm (2000).

He’s also known as Batman.

We all know that Andy Muschietti’s The Flash will be dealing with the DC multiverse.

They got Michael Keaton to reprise his role as Batman/Bruce Wayne from Tim Burton’s Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992).

Not only that, but The Flash also includes Ben Affleck’s version of Batman from the Snyderverse.

However, Clooney wasn’t invited to the party.

During an interview with Variety for The Tender Bar, they asked why he’s not part of The Flash.

Clooney revealed:

They didn’t ask me. When you destroy a franchise the way I did, usually they look the other way when the Flash comes by.

Clooney’s wife, Amal, said that he doesn’t want her watching the DC sequel.

Clooney admitted:

There are certain films I just go, “I want my wife to have some respect for me.”

Clooney had the lead part in Batman and Robin (1997).

The box-office dud and critics’ punching bag co-starred Chris O’Donnell as Robin.

The movie itself had a ton of stars including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Uma Therman, and Alicia Silverstone.

However, Clooney does not only blame himself.

After all, director Joel Schumacher completely put the franchise into a screeching halt.

The late Schumacher even apologized for the movie.

Batman went from comics to the mainstream in 1966.

Batman was made into a TV series starring Adam West as Batman and Burt Ward as Robin.

It was designed to be colorful and funny.

Moreover, to show its comic book roots, it even showed sound effects in big giant letters animated on screen.

It was popular enough that it lasted three seasons and was even made into a film.

In addition, the Batmobile was even incorporated into the comics.

This was the direction of Schumacher’s campy second Batman movie.

The goal was to recreate the feeling of the 1966 TV show.

Although Val Kilmer was supposed to reprise the role from the superior Batman Forever (1995), he didn’t like working with Schumacher.

Consequently, they looked for other actors.

They eventually ended up with Clooney.

At the time, Clooney was a hot property.

He was starring in the high-rated medical TV series ER.

Clooney got the role mainly because the studio worked around his schedule.

The shooting didn’t conflict with his work on ER.

Batman and Robin is known to be one of the worst superhero films of all time.

Nevertheless, I can still recommend watching the movie if you just want to have some ridiculous fun.

Be warned that it is a stark contrast from Burton’s dark version.

Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy took a more realistic route.

In addition, Ben Affleck’s version had a somber tone.

Even Robert Pattinson’s upcoming The Batman looks violent and gritty.

It’s obvious that the silly, colorful version is now part of Batman’s past.

There’s no sign of it coming back in the cinema.

We doubt that we’ll be seeing Clooney back in the role in the near future.

The Flash will skip that in his time travels.
