The Rock Throws Shade At The DCEU’s Joker

The Rock threw shade at DCEU’s the Joker on Twitter. The Rock is definitely pumped up for Black Adam‘s theatrical release. After all, he has been boasting about the character for a considerable amount of time.

And rightly so.

DC Comics has Black Adam as one of the most powerful characters in its roster. With a lifetime spanning thousands of years, it’s safe to say he is supermagical.

He is Teth-Adam or Mighty Adam, the former champion of the wizard Shazam. Initially, Black Adam was a hero who had his powers corrupt his ideals.

Therefore, Shazam banished and exiled Black Adam as his ideals were tainted. Somehow, Black Adam got to return to the modern day earth. Subsequently, he resolved to pursue the greater good for all humanity, no matter the cost.

Black Adam has immortality, super strength, super speed, and invulnerability. On top of these he can fly, teleport and heal faster. In addition, he is completely magical. No wonder Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson can claim Black Adam is among the mightiest, if not the mightiest, of all.

The most electrifying in the DCEU to be exact.

Therefore, a mere mortal that is the Joker will not actually bring a challenge for Black Adam to the table. No matter how brain-fried the Joker can be. A Twitter account by the name The Ayer Cut @CutAyer initiated the exchange with a snide post saying:

Most electrifying one in the DCEU? Has Black Adam seen what fried doctor brains look like #ReleaseTheAyerCut

The tweet may have just been for fun as it showed the clip where The Joker (Jared Leto) was about to electrocute someone. But The Rock wouldn’t have any of it.

He actually replied:

No, because Black Adam doesn’t give a (expletive)

Language!

It does sound like some mere mortal poked a godly entity doesn’t it? Nevertheless, comments and reactions became divided. Some say that they are disappointed that The Rock is clocking out fandom. On the contrary, there are those that acknowledge that he is just being true to the character.

Fans can be quite protective of their kind and there is no denying that the call to cancel endeavors happen. But even so nobody should take this exchange seriously.

The Rock is simply poking fun. Joker fans shouldn’t be triggered.

Dwayne Johnson is talking like Black Adam; in other words, he’s just staying in character. In the comics, there is no way that the Joker or the whole Suicide Squad can pit against Black Adam. He is that powerful. And if he isn’t nice, that is still in character as well.

He isn’t Superman.
