Kelly Marie Tran eyes a role in Marvel Studios.
Over the past few years, actress Kelly Marie Tran became a well-known figure in pop culture.
She debuted as Rose Tico in Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi in 2017.
Two years later, she reprised her role in director J.J. Abrams’ 2019 follow-up, The Rise Of Skywalker.
Most recently, Kelly Marie Tran took center stage in Disney’s latest hit animated feature film, Raya and The Last Dragon.
She voiced the title character, the latest addition to the Disney Princess line-up.
However, racists and trolls bullied Kelly Marie Tran after The Last Jedi‘s release.
They attacked without mercy.
She deleted all her social media accounts; furthermore, she kept her head up high through all of it since then.
Star Wars’ Kelly Marie Tran Wants Marvel Studios Role
In a new interview alongside director Carlos López Estrada for their new movie, Summertime, they both revealed they hope to collaborate again on a project with Marvel Studios.
Estranda offered high praise for Tran and his enthusiasm for Marvel movies.
I think Kelly should be a part of every cinematic universe that exists, Marvel included. I’m going to answer for her and say I hope she’s part of it!
I will do everything within my power to continue working on projects that I can be equally as inspired by whether it’s Summertime 2: The Return of Summertime or a Marvel thing.
Kelly Marie Tran admitted:
I didn’t think I could be in Star Wars and I didn’t think I could be in Raya and doing things I thought were impossible have been a really big impetus for me and I want to keep doing that. So whatever that is, let those things come and I’m excited to continue doing impossible things with Carlos López Estrada.
Marvel Studios is planning to have a more diverse future for their cinematic universe. Kelly Marie Tran is already a member of the Disney family. She has now been part of two highly successful franchises that the studio owns; therefore, it only seems right have her join a third with Marvel Studios.
