Disney Plus’ She-Hulk: Attorney at Law revealed a direct connection to Marvel’s Agent Carter.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law started with a bang. Lots of people are loving it, enjoying the lighthearted and humorous take on the MCU.

The trailers themselves have indicated that we should expect a lot of MCU-related connections throughout the series. With interesting cameos and weird Marvel characters showing up.

She-Hulk: Attorney At Law Reveals Connection To Agent Carter

Obviously, the show needed Mark Ruffalo’s the Hulk. Hey, he’s the main reason why She-Hulk exists. Trailers have treated us with the obvious one with Tim Roth returning as the Abomination, Benedict Wong as the Sorcerer Supreme Wong and Charlie Cox as Daredevil. Furthermore, we should also expect to see Matador, Man-Bull and Porcupine.

Other than that, we got more subtle connections. This time with a canceled TV show, ABC’s short-lived Agent Carter starring Haley Atwell. Former She-Hulk comics writer Dan Slott tweeted an Agent Carter reference that he caught.

She-Hulk works for the law firm GLK&H. This stands for Goodman, Lieber, Kurtzberg, and Holliway. This law firm is part of the Marvel Universe first introduced in She-Hulk No. 1 in March 2004. Agent Carter introduced the law firm Goodman, Kurtzberg and Holliway. While She-Hulk is set in the modern MCU, Agent Carter is  set in 1946. In fact, Slott pointed out, Lieber hasn’t been made partner yet; hence the missing L from the GLK&H name.

The first three names are actually based on Marvel’s founding members. Goodman is for Martin Goodman, who was the first publisher of Marvel Comics. Lieber is Stan Lee’s birth name, Stanley Lieber. Kurtzberg is Jack Kirby’s birth name, Jacob Kurtzberg. In the comics we rarely see Goodman, Lieber, Kurtzberg. Therefore, we doubt that they will show them in She-Hulk.

The name Holliway comes from Holden Holliway, who is a legendary lawyer in the Marvel Universe. Slott and artist Juan Bobillo co-created the character Holden Holliway. Steve Coulter portrays Holliway on the show. Note that in the comics Holliway was replaced by Book (now they are known as GLK&B). Renée Elise Goldsberry plays Mallory Book.

Agent Carter apparently isn’t MCU canon. Therefore, the reference in She-Hulk raises eyebrows.
