Shang-Chi and the Mandarin Revealed in Toy Leaks

A recent leak of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings toys has provided our best look at the Master of Kung-Fu and the Mandarin.

This comes not long after images of LEGO sets based on the movie leaked.

They gave us our first look at concept art of the character in full costume.

We now only have our closest look at Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) in his costume.

Moreover, we can now see how the villainous Mandarin (Tony Leung) is visualized in the MCU.

The Shang-Chi figure shows off his comic-accurate red and black costume.

It looks extremely well-detailed.

Furthermore, it also comes with a staff accessory which seems to be the character’s signature weapon.

The figure’s likeness to Liu looks phenomenal; it has a lifelike sculpt and a very clean paint job.

The most exciting reveal from this leak is our first glimpse of the Mandarin.

Fans have been waiting to see the Mandarin make his debut in the MCU since 2008’s Iron Man.

The character was initially thought to be the main villain of 2013’s Iron Man 3.

Legendary actor played by Ben Kingsley played a fake version of him.

However, it turned out Kingsley’s character was an actor named Trevor Slattery who was masquerading as the Mandarin.

Many fans were disappointed.

The character was later confirmed to exist in the MCU in the Marvel One-Shot short film, “All Hail The King,” which saw one of his disciples break Slattery out of prison to meet the Mandarin himself.

Afterward, there was no mention of the character until Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige announced the Mandarin would be the main antagonist for Shang-Chi.

We now have our first preview of the long-awaited villain.

He looks to have a completely different design then his comic-book counterpart.

He sports blue and black samurai-esque armor and five bronze bands around both his arms.

Those could likely be the character’s iconic weapons: the Ten Rings.

Nevertheless, all of the figure’s interchangeable hands have no rings on the fingers, which would be a big deviation from the comics.

But finally seeing how the Mandarin will look in the MCU is very exciting for long-time Marvel fans after Iron Man 3’s bizarre plot twist.

The figure also has strange weapon accessory which he will more than likely use in his inevitable showdown with Shang-Chi.

The head sculpt much like the Shang-Chi figure in that it bares an incredible resemblance to the actor with neat paintwork and sculpting.

With merchandise for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings starting to leak online and the release date fast approaching, it shouldn’t be too long until Marvel Studios releases the official first trailer and starts full-on advertising the movie.

Disney will release Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on September 3rd this year.
