Ryan Reynolds will drop f-bombs in Deadpool 3. Marvel Studios said years ago they wouldn’t tone him down. Now Deadpool 3‘s screenwriters say the same. Rhett Reese and Paul Wenick confirm that Ryan Reynolds will be speaking in the same “speech pattern” as before.

This development of getting the writers of the first two Deadpool movies back for the third is very much welcomed by fans.

Furthermore, it abates the fans’ worry that Deadpool 3 will be affected in tone and authenticity of the character.

Ryan Reynolds did promise to have updates on the movie’s development sooner rather than later. Now we have this reassuring news that they are getting the old team back together. Added to this is the fact that Shawn Levy is the one they got to direct the film.

In fact, Levy has jived well with Ryan Reynolds through their previous projects in Free Guy and The Adam Project. With those, the two already have a definitive working relationship.

In addition, Reese and Wernick shared how Marvel Studios is allowing them to keep Deadpool’s expletives. According to the writers, Disney has been supportive of the style. In an interview at Den of Geek, Reese said:

Don’t worry about that. They’ve been very supportive with regard to that. Now when it comes to a particular joke, if we cross a line, maybe we’ll hear at some point, ‘Maybe not that joke.’ But I think they’ve been incredibly supportive of what we’re doing, because obviously we were doing it separate from them for a long time, and I think they’ve seen the success and they’ve had their own even greater success. So hopefully it’ll be a marriage made in heaven. But we’ve definitely got their support, and that’s a great thing to feel.

Reese even let the interviewer in on their joy in working with Marvel Studios. No less than comparing it to moving their crew to a new home. He said:

It’s a thrill. It’s an absolute thrill to have the band back together, to have a new backdrop in the MCU with new characters, new villains, that kind of thing. You know, it’s never a marriage we necessarily saw coming—Fox and Disney, that was an external thing [separate] from our storytelling process. But we’re absolutely finding the serendipity and the gold in that situation, or we’re trying to.

He may actually talk about the Disney-Fox merger. After all, Deadpool often breaks the fourth wall.

Moreover, Ryan Reynolds may even make snarky remarks about Doctor Strange’s cloak of levitation. Or maybe how he could have been there for the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). Or maybe how he missed playing with the friendly neighborhood hero who dropped the Statue of Liberty’s shield.

More importantly, are they anywhere close to catching Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine for the movie? Indeed, The only other actor that the production announced to be in the movie is Leslie Uggams. She will be reprising her role Blind Al. Wade Wilson has a good number of creative words exchanged with her alone.
