Chris Evans might return to the MCU, reports say that he is in talks to reprise his role as the Human Torch for Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3.
Evans is now famous for playing Captain America aka Steve Rogers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. No one really knew how far the franchise would take him. But it rose and went over the moon. With his own trilogy of films and several appearances in other Marvel films. Avengers: Endgame would be his final appearance to date. So far, his participation as Captain America is done.
But what about another Marvel character?
Report: Chris Evans Might Return As The Human Torch In Deadpool 3

It’s been reported by Giant Freakin Robot that Evans is in talks to reprise his other famous Marvel role. He could return as the Human Torch for Deadpool 3. Evans played Johnny Storm back in 2005 in the Fantastic Four with Jessica Alba, Ioan Gruffundd, Michael Chiklis and Julian McMahon. He also reprised the role in 2007 in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. The film even has one of the best Stan Lee cameos I’ve ever seen. It’s just that the last film didn’t do financially well. Which is why 20th Century opted to reboot the franchise instead.
Reports say that Deadpool 3 is forming to be a mashup of 20th Century Marvel properties jumping to the MCU. Namely, the X-Men and Marvel’s First Family, the Fantastic Four. For that to happen, Deadpool, Wolverine and friends will be entering the Marvel multiverse. As it stands now, there are reports that Tom Hiddleston and Jonathan Majors will be reprising their roles as Loki and Kang the Conqueror. GFR also adds that Anna Paquin is already onboard the project to return as Rogue.
There are also reports that James Marsden and Halle Berry are also in talks to reprise their X-Men roles.

So far, it sounds like this is going to be an interesting ride for Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Although we are still waiting for more confirmed details, Deadpool and Wolverine seem to be facing an interesting fun adventure.
We still have to wait for a more definitive confirmation if Chris Evans will be really coming back. One thing though is that he may return in a future MCU film. There are also lots of rumors saying Evans will come back as Captain America in Avengers: Secret Wars. But until then, if Evans does show up in Deadpool 3 as Johnny, we can’t wait to see him “Flame On”
