Rapper Eminem may not meet Spider-Man in a film, but a variant cover provides an idea how it’d look.

Eminem actually appeared in Marvel Comics before. This happened in 2009 in the Eminem/The Punisher. The unlikely duo teamed up against Barracuda. However, it was just a one-shot. Therefore, it didn’t branch out to several issues. No sequels, too. Nevertheless, it solidified Eminem’s existence in Marvel Comics. He’s in there.

On November 22, Eminem posted on his official account featuring the cover showing him in a rap battle against Spider-Man. He posts:

Like Spider-Man crawlin’ upside of a wall” [spider icon] HONORED to be on the official variant of The Amazing Spider-Man (2022)… drops tomorrow on http://shop.eminem.com @Marvel

The cover is from artist Salvador Larroca. It will have a limited run of 5,000 copies on Eminem.com and an additional 1,000 copies for sale on TheHaul.com

Other Marvel Comics characters can be spotted among the crowd of spectators of the rap battle. The ones we immediately found were Miles Morales, Daredevil, Black Panther, and Ghost Spider. That looks like Luke Cage, right? Perhaps. Maybe Ant-Man is there. We’ll just have to see if Scott Lang will mention it in his podcast.

It’s a variant cover for The Amazing Spider-Man No. 1. However, the comic books with the variant cover sold out completely. The limited number of copies which the rapper signed as well as the standard variant disappeared, too. Sold out. Amazing.

That was quick.

This is indeed a massive flex for the rap artist telling the world he’s a comic-book fan. Let alone having Spider-Man as one of his favorite characters. People still remember DC’s Batman and Robin showing up in one of his music videos. Moreover, his comic book character, Marshall Mathers III, has quite a history with Barracuda and The Punisher in Earth-TRM194.

Marvel Comics keeps giving treats to fans and now Slim Shady appears on their pages. Consequently, some are expecting he will also appear in the MCU. His music getting into a future movie will not be surprising at all. In fact, it has happened with Sony’s Spider-Man universe. The song “Last One Standing” featured in the movie Venom: Let There Be Carnage. He reunited with Skylar Grey for the song that also featured Polo G and Mozzy.

As for the MCU, this looks like a job for Slim Shady.
