Nightwing movie being developed with Warner Bros Animation. Dick Grayson may take the spotlight. No fixed plans for the movie as of now.
The Nightwing movie was originally planned to have a 2023 release date.
But apparently, Warner still considers it as a less of an priority compared to other known properties.
We’ve been hearing updates from Warner Bros left and right with The Rock’s Black Adam, Leslie Grace’s Batgirl, Michael B Jordan’s Superman and more.
Director Chris McKay for the planned live action movie and said that he already has a finished script.
All he is doing now is waiting for the green light from Warner.
McKay recently worked on The Tomorrow War for Amazon, and he also did The Lego Batman Movie (2017).
He has also been announced as the director for Johnny Quest.
Now it seems that a solo animated movie is being developed.

We aren’t sure what the plans are for the developing movie.
Will this new animated movie have Chris McKay attached?
Warner Bros Animation is well known for making incredible animated films which are based on popular stories from the comics like Doomsday, Batman Under the Red Hood, Batman Year One, Teen Titans Judas Contract, The Death of Superman.
They recently released Batman: The Long Halloween which is considered as one of the best Batman stories of all time.
Dick Grayson also known as Nightwing is a longtime ally of Batman. Also, he was the original Robin, Batman’s sidekick and Bruce Wayne’s ward.
Dick Grayson was created by Bill Finger, Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson and was first introduced in Detective Comics No. 38 in 1940.
While Nightwing was created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist George Perez.
He was introduced in Tales of the Teen Titans No. 44 in 1984.

When Dick Grayson felt like he was maturing, he felt that he needed to be on his own.
He renames himself as Nightwing which was inspired from a story from Superman and Jimmy Olsen while they were in the planet Krypton.
Superman was the original Nightwing while he and Olsen were stranded on the planet.
Dick Grayson is just as formidable as Bruce Wayne’s Batman.
So, if they are making a movie based on Dick Grayson, it would be an interesting point of view.
In all of Warner Bros Animation, Dick Grayson’s alter ego alone was rarely tackled as primary focus although Robin/Nightwing is regularly featured.
Several actors like Neil Patrick Harris, Sean Maher, Loren Lester, gave him his voice.
Many Warner Bros. Animation movies focused on Batman, Superman, Justice League.
It would be nice to see Nightwing to take the spotlight.
