Marvel Studios will announce The Fantastic Four cast by early 2022.

Small Screen reports they’ve selected most of the actors already.

Despite previous rumors, it looks bleak for John Krasinski and Emily Blunt.

At first, Krasinski and Blunt were fan-cast.

Afterwards, rumors spread.

Granted, Krasinski and Blunt became front runners for Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman.

No surprise there.

Not only do Krasinski and Blunt resemble Reed and Susan Richards, they’re also husband and wife.

However, Blunt turned down Marvel Studios’ offers.

On the other hand, Krasinski seemed excited for the role.

It’s not known where his negotiations left off.

But Small Screen reveals Marvel Studios has veered in a new direction.

According to Edward Lauder’s sources, the actors may not be recognizable.

Lauder stated:

Marvel has cast its net far and wide for this movie. They’ve been focusing on who would be best for the part as opposed to getting big names attached to the project.

In other words, The Fantastic Four film could be featuring relative unknowns.

Lauder added that Marvel Studios chose new actors for Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani) and Echo (Alaqua Cox).

Likewise, The Fantastic Four follows in those footsteps.

Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts will helm The Fantastic Four.

The immediacy of the casting might be related.

After all, Watts could introduce one or all them in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Indeed, Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s ending or post-credit scene leaves an opening.

The mystery figure who bought Avengers Tower lingers.

Is it Reed Richards, and did he change it to the Baxter Building?

Watts could pass the baton to himself.

Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four reboot is highly anticipated.

The lukewarm reception to Fox’s first two Fantastic Four movies almost killed the franchise.

Fox’s own makeover, 2015’s Fantastic Four, was worse.

In particular, many await proper treatment of Doctor Doom and Galactus.

Sources indicate that Marvel Studios aims for a faithful adaptation of The Fantastic Four comic book.

In fact, the legendary run by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby will be a primary influence.

They co-created the team.

For the modern era, writer/artist John Byrne’s take will inspire the MCU reboot.
