Marvel Studios Zack Snyder Ghost Rider Reboot

Zack Snyder has been on fire lately so it’s fitting that Marvel Studios would want him for a Ghost Rider reboot.

Although best known for his DC superhero movies, Zack Snyder debuted with a horror movie.

Zack Snyder directed the 2004 remake of George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead.

Forgotten trivia: The Suicide Squad‘s James Gunn wrote the screenplay.

On the surface, Zack Snyder and Marvel Studios don’t seem like an ideal fit.

Zack Snyder’s darkly operatic and gloomy vision doesn’t quite match the upbeat and colorful tone of many MCU movies.

Nevertheless, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige isn’t afraid to fade to black.

For example, 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier and the Infinity War films had grit and death.

More recently, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney Plus pushed the envelope on shocking violence.

Feige is preparing to unleash horror in the MCU.

On January 16, I reported that WandaVision opened the doors to more occult projects at Marvel Studios.

Ghost Rider has been in development at Marvel Studios for years.

The Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider appeared on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Feige had no plans for the character yet back then.

Since Feige took over Marvel TV, Ghost Rider roared into one rumor after another.

Feige prefers Johnny Blaze to be Ghost Rider again.

He was the first Ghost Rider, after all.

(You can’t really count the original Western hero with the same name; the character is totally different.)

However, the question remained: Where do we put him?

Ghost Rider has gone back and forth between Hulu and Disney Plus.

No decision has been made yet.

Sources close to me say that Ghost Rider’s destination depends on how well the Blade reboot performs.

Marvel Studios believes Blade should be the launching pad of the supernatural team the Midnight Sons.

Ghost Rider is in that group.

If Blade is huge, either with an R or PG-13 rating, Ghost Rider will probably cruise through the cinemas once again.

Insiders said that Zack Snyder was brought up during talks about Ghost Rider.

He hasn’t been approached yet.

Furthermore, there’s no guarantee he would do it if offered.

Nevertheless, Zack Snyder has praised the MCU before.

Zack Snyder’s future with DC remains uncertain with WarnerMedia and AT&T poles apart on trashing or keeping his DCEU.

To complicate matters, Netflix has fallen in love with his Army of the Dead.

Soon Zack Snyder will have more suitors than the prom queen.

And if Walter Hamada keeps seeing him as Carrie, there are others asking for a date.
