Paramount has hired Marvel Netflix veteran Marco Ramirez to help develop a new standalone Transformers movie.

Ramirez will be writing while Angel Manuel Soto is directing.

Ramirez was the showrunner of the Marvel TV series The Defenders for Netflix.

He has also worked on Daredevil, Sons of Anarchy, and Fear the Walking Dead.

I personally enjoyed a lot of his TV shows he’s been involved with, especially Daredevil and The Defenders.

Given that much of those projects have dark themes, I wonder if this will also be the case in the new Transformers movie.

I have yet to see any films from him so this will be interesting to look forward to.

Despite the lack in movies, his work has been quite impressive.

I’m anxious to see what he can do on the big screen.

Will this be Ramirez’ big break into blockbuster films?

Soto is attached to direct the movie.

He’s known for his recent work on Charm City Kings for HBO Max which did gain good reviews.

Because of the high praise, he is also attached as the director of the upcoming DC film Blue Beetle.

Soto has shown that he is a talented director and he can launch into the mainstream if he is successful in directing Blue Beetle and Transformers.

There are no details on what the new movie will be at this time.

Right now, it can be anything because I’m excited to see what Marco Ramirez will do with the Transformers franchise.

I like the possibility of having a fresh director make Transformers feel new again.

Will we see a side story involving one of the famous Transformers like a solo Megatron or a Hot Rod movie? Or how about making a fresh start with Beast Wars?
