Warner Bros. is developing Man of Steel 2 with Henry Cavill back as Superman.
In an interview with Man of Steel screenwriter David S. Goyer, The Hollywood Reporter reveals that:
A sequel may be in the works with Cavill on board.
Moreover, Goyer agreed and stated:
I think so.
Nevertheless, Goyer admitted:
Not involved in it right now…I’ve stepped away almost entirely from comic book-related projects other than Sandman, which I don’t really categorize as part of the normal DC universe.

Zack Snyder directed 2013’s Man of Steel.
It was the beginning of the Snyderverse, his group of linked, darker-edged DC movies that the current regime has attempted to snuff since Joss Whedon replaced Snyder for 2017’s box-office disappointment Justice League.
However, 2021’s four-hour Snyder Cut exploded onto HBO Max; oddly, its massive popularity was downplayed by WarnerMedia.
The company refused to release its streaming numbers or even publicly acknowledge its success.
Moreover, in March Warner Bros. chairman and CEO Ann Sarnoff announced that the Snyderverse is dead.
According to Sarnoff, Zack Snyder’s Justice League was a fond farewell and not a new beginning.
Sarnoff explained:
We wanted to give Zack the opportunity to complete his vision in a four-hour movie, which is impossible to do in theaters. We’re happy that we have HBO Max to let the rope out as it were and allow the fans to see all four-hours of Zack’s vision.

But the fans refused to let the Snyderverse go up in flames.
They blast social media to restore the Snyderverse.
Since then, I’ve released numerous leaks on how the Snyderverse will return.
One of them is The Rock potentially producing Man of Steel 2.
While there’s no mention of The Rock’s interest in Man of Steel 2, The Hollywood Reporter, one of the oldest and most respected trades, added more credibility to the sequel rumors.
I’ve heard All-Star Superman and Superman: Red Son as possible material for Man of Steel sequels. As usual, those will be tweaked if utilized.
For example, Henry Cavill’s Superman would face his Russian version for Red Son, possibly from the multiverse.
