HBO Max Adds Avatar For Ray Fisher’s Cyborg

HBO Max has added Ray Fisher’s Cyborg as an avatar for profile pictures. In fact, they’ve now updated the selections to include Zack Snyder’s Justice League as well. In case anyone is wondering, Ezra Miller’s the Flash is among them.

On the surface, this doesn’t signal that Warner Bros. Discovery has restored the SnyderVerse. Indeed, there’s no reason to inflate a marketing tool.

While insiders maintain WBD’s intention to continue the SnyderVerse, this isn’t confirmation. In other words, stay calm.

Nevertheless, this does signal Warner Bros. Discovery has no issues in promoting it. After all, the former Warner Bros. regime didn’t include the SnyderVerse actors before. Certainly, Ray Fisher’s public dispute with former DC Films president Walter Hamada caused ripples at the studio.

Until now, Hamada still hasn’t apologized to Ray Fisher for his mistreatment of the actor. Hamada leaves his position next month. Thus, he probably never will.

Naysayers push the narrative that Warner Bros. Discovery despises the SnyderVerse and its fans. On the contrary, their recent actions say the opposite.

As Vanilla Fudge and later Kim Wilde once sang: “Set me free, why don’t you babe?”

The Justice League avatars surprised several SnyderVerse followers.

David John Lincoln hosts the YouTube channel The Savage Bat. He said:

It’s becoming clear The DCEU is WBD’s flag ship moving forward. They will focus most of their attention on continuing building this universe, including the SnyderVerse. I have total faith in David Zaslav’s plan for the future. The fight to #RestoreTheSnyderVerse is nearly over. It’s only a matter of time now all the pieces are falling into place for Zack Snyder’s return and the SnyderVerse restored.

YouTube scooper Syl Abdul added:

Interesting to see all of Zack’s JL to be included in the HBO Max experience. Interestingly, no Pattinson.

Abdul is correct. Robert Pattinson’s Batman currently has no avatar. Granted, HBO Max could fix that later on. Nonetheless, it’s a suspicious absence. Perhaps HBO Max is focused on the DCEU. Pattinson’s Dark Knight exists in director Matt Reeves’ pocket universe.

Snyder fan Christopher J. LaFalce sees a deeper motivation:

I feel it is another piece of evidence that WBD consider the Zack Snyder’s Justice League cast the definitive face of DC.

It’s definitely looking that way.
