Hayley Atwell is confirmed to appear as Captain Carter in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Although Hayley Atwell isn’t in the trailer, the poster teases her.

More specifically, her British shield reflects on a multiverse glass shard.

On August 10, 2021, I hinted at Captain Carter in the Doctor Strange sequel.

However, that was my advance review of Disney Plus’ What If…? animated series.

Thus, I was under embargo not to reveal too much.

In the episode, Captain Carter fights a creature that resembles Shuma-Gorath.

Shuma-Gorath is a Doctor Strange villain.

I wrote:

I’ll say it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see where this is going; in other words, be every excited.

In What If…?, Steve Rogers doesn’t become Captain America.

Instead, Peggy Carter takes the super-soldier serum.

Her inclusion in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness opens possibilities.

In other words, everything in What If…? could be utilized in live action.

Some fans avoided What If…? because they felt it wasn’t canon.

It is.

Although Hayley Atwell returns, this isn’t the same Carter.

Captain Carter is from the multiverse.

On October 28, 2021, we leaked that Captain Carter would cameo in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

That’s what insiders told us then.

Nevertheless, Hayley Atwell could be in the movie longer.

After all, the film underwent significant reshoots.

Furthermore, Captain Carter will return for Season Two of What If…?

Marvel Studios seeks to continue working with Hayley Atwell.

But Agent Carter’s story arc finished with Avengers: Endgame.

With Captain Carter, Marvel Studios has the ability to include Hayley Atwell in future projects.

Above all, there’s no risk of tarnishing Avengers: Endgame‘s legacy.

Captain Carter is a variant.

Going forward, Disney Plus will likely push forward with a Captain Carter live-action series.

There are tremendous possibilities with this character.

For Marvel Studios, it is the best of both worlds.

Undoubtedly, Hayley Atwell remains highly popular.

Surely, Captain Carter carves a new identity for her.

She’s a superhero now.

What If…? was no one-off.

Instead, it is an important piece in the MCU’s future.
