Hailee Steinfeld sees similarities between Kate Bishop and Spider-Man’s Gwen Stacy after portraying both characters.
She debuts as Bishop on Disney Plus’ Hawkeye.
In addition, she voiced Stacy in 2018’s animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Hawkeye will introduce Hailee Steinfeld as Clint Barton’s sharp-shooting protégé Bishop.
In the comic books, Bishop is quite the firecraker.
Fans look forward to seeing Hailee Steinfeld trade barbs with Jeremy Renner.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige called Hailee Steinfeld the “dream version” of Bishop.
In fact, she didn’t have to audition for the role.

Without a doubt, Hailee Steinfeld is perfect for Bishop’s snark and swagger.
Then again, the young actress is no stranger to the Marvel multiverse and playing a superhero.
Her take on Stacy in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse impressed fans.
Hence, they would love for her to be Stacy in live action. (Sony: It’s not too late.)
During Hawkeye’s global press conference, Hailee Steinfeld opened up about her experience portraying both characters.
Particularly, she finds common ground between them.
Indeed, Bishop and Stacy are both youthful, courageous women.
She explained her thoughts:
It’s incredibly cool and I feel so honored to be a part of both projects, but I think they’re characters that have similarities, but they’re very different and, of course, one is animation, and one is not. Two completely different worlds, but I always love that.

Hailee Steinfeld continued digging deeper into their personalities:
I do find the characters that I have played in the past do have this sort of consistency in being these young women who are strong-minded, have a point-of-view, have an idea of who they are in this world and they really stop at nothing to get what they want to achieve and I think that both Gwen Stacy and Kate Bishop are proof that if you set your mind to something, you can really achieve great things.
This won’t be the only time we’ll see Hailee Steinfeld making her mark as Bishop.
The character will take up the title of Hawkeye going forward.
Thus, Barton can finally retire with his family.
On August 5, 2021, Geekosity reported that Hailee Steinfeld has a larger presence in Season Two.
Afterwards, Bishop help forms the Young Avengers on Disney Plus.
