Gina Carano’s Cara Dune Returns as Lego Figure

Lucasfilm booted Gina Carano from The Mandalorian, but her character Cara Dune apparently lives on as a Lego minifig.

According to a new report, Cara Dune returns in toy form.

Brick Fanatics shared photographs from the upcoming Lego series set number 75315, Moff Gideon’s Light Cruiser.

The pictures reveal six figures.

Cara Dune stands rightfully in her place with Grogu, the Mandalorian, Moff Gideon, Fennec Shand, and a Dark Trooper.

Lucasfilm terminated Gina Carano due to controversial statements regarding her personal views and political beliefs.

Consequently, a number of toy manufacturers also discontinued creating figures based on her likeness.

Notably, the 6″ Black Series Cara Dune figure from the Star Wars toyline was cancelled.

At the time, Lego refused comment on their future plans regarding the character.

Thankfully, for Mandalorian buffs in general and fans of Cara Dune in particular, it appears Lego has refused to buckle under cancel-culture pressure.

They are bringing the fierce warrior back into their fold.

The grainy image reveals this is the same Cara Dune that was initially released back in the 2019 75254 AT-ST Raider playset.

After the previous removal of her figures, owners of the original Lego minifigure found her value suddenly rocket upwards in price.

A used Cara Dune Lego figure can be found on eBay for around $25 and over on Mercari for about $40.

Once this new set is released buyers can expect to see those prices fall back to more reasonable levels; that is, if she’s still included.

The 75315 Moff Gideon’s Light Cruiser set reaches store shelves this August. Moreover, it will be along with the previously revealed 75314 The Bad Batch Attack Shuttle and 75296 Darth Vader Meditation Chamber sets.

Is Gina Carano’s dismissal from Star Wars permanent or short-lived?

Her status is among the questions often asked to Geekosity; we haven’t heard that the decision is going to be reversed.
