Avengers: Endgame filmmakers the Russo brothers have entered talks to direct the MCU’s next crossover epic, which’ll involve the X-Men: Secret Wars.
If you really thought the Russo brothers’ Avengers: Endgame was Marvel Studios’ biggest project then you haven’t seen nothing yet.
Geekosity founder and Editor-in-Chief Mikey Sutton previously scooped that following the Infinity Saga, the MCU’s next Endgame event would be Secret Wars.
The seeds have already been planted for Secret Wars and the branches are starting to grow.
Loki’s first season finale had the MCUs multiverse collapse into chaos.
It set the stage for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Moreover, Loki gave us our first glimpse at the MCU’s next Thanos-level threat: Kang the Conqueror.
It now seems that Marvel Studios is already set on who they want at the helm for Secret Wars.
Appropriately, it’ll be the same gentlemen who helped bring their last one to life.
According to a new report, Joe and Anthony Russo are in negotiations to return to the MCU for Secret Wars.
Endgame Directors Russo Brothers In Talks For X-Men Crossover Film: Secret Wars

The Russo brothers are responsible for four of the MCU’s most praised films: Captain America: The Winter Soldier; Captain America: Civil War; Avengers: Infinity War; and Avengers: Endgame.
The leak explained that:
The studio is in talks with the Russo brothers. It’s hard to imagine that the pair aren’t in an excellent position when it comes to negotiating with Marvel at this time.
Furthermore, the report added that:
The franchise is so huge that they could probably get any number of filmmakers on board, the Russos have to know how special they are, and Marvel has to know that as well.
Nevertheless, the pair’s contractual demands remain unknown; moreover, the Russo Brothers’ busy schedule has to be taken into consideration.
It makes sense that Marvel Studios would want the duo behind four of their most critically and financially successful installments to return for future projects.
In addition, the Russo brothers have expressed excitement towards the possibility of a Secret Wars movie saying it would be “The biggest you could possibly imagine!”
After what the pair pulled off with Infinity War and Endgame, there’s no doubt that with them behind the camera, Secret Wars could easily be bigger than both those movies combined.
