Doctor Strange 2 Debuts The Savage Land From X-Men

The new Doctor Strange 2 trailer provided a glimpse of the Savage Land from the X-Men universe

Many expected that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness would show interesting things.

Indeed, there’s no question there.

We have reported numerous details before.

For example, Patrick Stewart reprises his role as Professor X.

Furthermore, we have also said that Marvel Studios filmed many cameos.

These appearances will make fans’ jaws drop.

There’s the possibility of Tom Cruise as Iron Man.

In addition, Tobey Maguire could return as Spider-Man.

Indeed, Maguire’s appearance will not be a surprise considering Spider-Man director Sam Raimi is behind the wheel.

In addition, Hugh Jackman could be back as Wolverine.

Hayley Atwell will debut as Captain Carter from Disney Plus’ What If…? animated series.

In the past, we reported John Krasinski showing up as Reed Richards.

Most recently, Norman Reedus’ Ghost Rider will burn the screen.

Many Marvel favorites will get the chance to be in the multiverse.

Literally, anything is a possibility at this point.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is loaded.

After all, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Ms. America (Xochitl Gomez) will travel through the multiverse.

Therefore, it is expected that we’ll be bombarded with an abundance of startling appearances.

In fact, the trailer teases a number of them.

For a split second, you’ll be able to see a forested area with a couple of dinosaurs fighting.

Some people will think that this is because they are passing through time and space.

In other words, they could have ended up in a timeline where dinosaurs still roamed the Earth.

But for many Marvel comic-book fans, they’ll recognize it as the Savage Land.

The Savage Land has a long history in the Marvel Universe.

In the comics, the Savage Land is located in Antarctica.

Specifically, it’s at the base of the Palmer Peninsula.

Prehistoric animals roam the tropical Savage Land.

But The world cannot find the Savage Land.

Moreover, time preserved this unknown region.

Writer/artist Jack Kirby created the Savage Land.

It first appeared in Marvel Mystery Comics No. 22 in 1941.

In the comics, Ka-Zar rules the Savage Land.

He is basically Marvel Comics’ Tarzan.

There are so many instances that Savage Land was the center of a battle.

The X-Men and the Avengers were at the center of those conflicts.

There are times that major Marvel characters like Magneto stayed there for long periods of time.

Furthermore, The Daily Bugle even reported its existence to the world.

The Spider-Man villain, Kraven the Hunter, even once tried to take over it.

The Savage Land has been one of the most iconic locations in Marvel history.

Still, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a surprising place to debut it.

Even with just a glimpse, the appearance of the Savage Land is a tease that at some point in the MCU, we may see more of it.

Geekosity founder Mikey Sutton scooped the Savage Land for the second X-Men film in November 2019.

It looks like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be first.
