David Tennant Returning To Doctor Who

Written By Kieran Bugg

David Tennant could return as Doctor Who. However, as rumors explode, the BBC is suspiciously quiet.

Indeed, the gossip runs wild.

But as it increases, the BBC refuses to comment.

When you ask a Doctor Who fan who their favorite is, there’s a strong chance it’s David Tennant’s 10th incarnation.

For many followers of this long-running sci-fi series, David Tennant’s Doctor is the definitive version.

After his departure he became as iconic as Tom Baker’s fourth Doctor.

In addition to his Doctor Who, David Tennant is known for his horrifying performance as Kilgrave in Marvel’s Jessica Jones.

Lately, there have been reports that the former Time Lord comes back to the TARDIS.

However, he won’t be the 10th Doctor.

Instead, a source close to the BBC revealed David Tennant will be the 14th Doctor.

He succeeds Jodie Whittaker’s 13th incarnation.

This leak left Whovians everywhere scratching their heads.

It’s not just about whether or not this is true.

Rather, but how could that be possible?

After all, Doctor Who has never been able to regenerate back to an old face before.

Nevertheless, the show hinted at this before.

At the end of the 50th anniversary special The Day of the Doctor, Baker made an emotional cameo as a character known as The Curator.

He teased that he was a future version of Doctor Who.

Moreover, this comes a few months after Russell T. Davies returns. Davies is the writer responsible for bringing Doctor Who back to TV in 2005.

In addition, he cast David Tennant.

He announced he would be the showrunner again for the series’ upcoming 60th anniversary and beyond.

This has many believing these rumors can’t be a coincidence.

Davies was the showrunner for the David Tennant era.

The BBC’s decision to neither confirm nor deny these reports raised many eyebrows.

They’ve added more fuel to this already raging fire.

If these reports are greatly exaggerated, it doesn’t mean that David Tennant won’t return for the 60th anniversary in some shape or form.

He did for the 50th anniversary special in 2013.

If he does, hopefully he’ll be joined by some of the other actors who also portrayed the character.
