A recent interview with Daredevil star Charlie Cox reveals his hopes for Marvel crossovers particularly with Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk. For however it may have been in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, fans liked the chemistry between Jennifer Walters and Matt Murdock. A lot of viewers even rooted to see them work together for more episodes than the series actually gave.

In truth, many followers of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen’s story are happy that he is now fully in the MCU. The long wait will soon be over once the supersized series Daredevil: Born Again streams on Disney Plus come 2024. With 18 episodes, it can tell a very detailed story.

Not to mention that the presence of the series inside the MCU leaves its doors open to not only She-Hulk. It can actually easily connect with Hawkeye, Captain America and even the Thunderbolts. Considering that Daredevil will be appearing in the Echo series, it pushes a lot of Marvel characters up into his alley.

Actor Charlie Cox himself hopes so Metro.co.uk spoke to him about it during an interview for Netflix’s Treason. In his words, it is very evident that the actor is enjoying his time as the very good lawyer and blind vigilante. He shares:

I’ve made it no secret that I’m a huge fan of Tatiana’s and the fun we had on She-Hulk was some of the best fun I’ve had as that character. I thought she was amazing as Jennifer Walters, and I would be a huge… certainly an advocate of her showing up in our show if she’s free and available and willing and all of those things. So I would love for that to happen. I have no idea if that is possible.

Not being able to fully share whether there will be cameos or crossovers into his series, he is still optimistic. The actor claims to have yet to read the script. Currently, he is clueless as to what is going to happen in the 18-episode series. He further said:

I don’t know anything. I haven’t read anything from any scripts. So, I don’t know. I have no idea. But the only thing that’s fun going forward for the Daredevil show is that of course when we were on Netflix, we didn’t have the opportunity to really have the crossovers other than the characters that we knew we had in that Netflix Marvel world.

Now that door is wide open to all sorts of possibilities and that, for me, as someone who’s become a great fan of the comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s really exciting that that door is open and that we can have cameos from other characters that we couldn’t before.

As a fan, this gives me relief that the main actor is happy to be involved in it. I am also holding on to his statement that the upcoming tone of Daredevil: Born Again won’t be comedic. Murdock and Daredevil captured the dark, gritty charm. Although, there are some changes that I am expecting. But my hopes still zero in on Daredevil being the serious, principled hero that he is.

Also, taking his happy tone also encourages me to believe that his best friends are also back. At last! We’ll all get to see our avocados again.
