Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Chloe Bennet may get a role in a Star Wars project. Specifically, starring as Doctor Aphra.
(Update: Geekosity discovered that Chloe Bennet is being considered for more than one Star Wars role.)
Chloe Bennet had a pretty good run on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which lasted from 2013-2020.
Chloe played Daisy Johnson a.k.a. Quake. She has gained a lot of attention lately for the leaked images of the live action Powerpuff Girls TV series playing as Blossom.
Now Bennet is being considered for a major role in Star Wars as Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra according to this report.
Doctor Aphra is more known in the comics as a former ally of Darth Vader.
She is a criminal archeologist with an expert knowledge on droids and weapons.
Doctor Aphra has this fascination in searching for ancient weapons and Jedi artifacts.
Sometime after the Battle of Yavin, Darth Vader employed her to build an army of Commando Droids.
Definitely read the comics, they’re great. The droids are extremely funny.
She even helped in figuring out who was the pilot of the X-Wing who destroyed the Death Star.
She first appeared in Darth Vader No. 3 in 2015.

Doctor Aphra got so interesting that she even got her own comic series in 2016-2019; moreover, Marvel Comics relaunched it in 2020.
She was created by writer Kieron Gillen and artist Salvador Larroca.
Gillen describes Aphra as a “dark mirror of Indiana Jones.”
Her character also showed up in the mobile Star Wars game Force Arena.
She’s such an interesting character that we can’t wait to see her onscreen.
Chloe Bennet isn’t in talks yet with Lucasfilm, but she is on the list of actresses being considered for the role of Doctor Aphra.
So, we don’t know if she will get the part.
This would be a great role for her and the Star Wars franchise itself since it can be a fresh take on Star Wars like The Mandalorian.

Wouldn’t it be interesting to see Chloe Bennet as an Indiana Jones-type character trying to find Jedi relics, pursuing to understand the history within the Star Wars universe?
Thinking about the potential in this is exciting for me because of her character being an archeologist.
She might even bridge the gap between the Knights of the Old Republic (4,000 years before the Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope) and the current Star Wars canon.
Don’t lose hope for her Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. character as Quake / Daisy Johnson since Marvel still plans to bring her back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
We still want to see her join up with Marvel powerhouse of characters.
I’m a fan of what she has done for the character of Quake, so, it would be interesting to see Chloe Bennet join the Star Wars universe.
