Black Panther: Wakanda Forever includes a reference to the new Ant-Man film. Needless to say, spoilers ahead.

Director and writer Ryan Coogler already had a working script when Chadwick Boseman passed away.

Instead of recasting him, Marvel laid down the decision that they will honor Boseman’s epic portrayal.

Consequently, Coogler changed the sequel’s story to showcase Wakanda instead.

However, before diving into the proceeding story, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever paid tribute to the fallen King T’Challa. There is a scene in the beginning of the film that announces the devastating news. The audience learns that T’Challa died of, well, let’s leave that for you to watch in the theater.

Interestingly, as the news unfolds, mini headlines run along the bottom of the screen. One of these is mentioning Scott Lang’s new book. Apparently, Ant-Man wrote a memoir entitled Look Out for the Little Guy.

This is not the first time Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man ventured into the social media spotlight. One recalls a certain podcast that Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan listens to in Ms. Marvel. Now, Scott Lang happens to add a literary piece to his showcase as well.

Indeed, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is a momentous finale for Phase Four. With this tiny part in a scene, it passes the baton to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Specifically, that represents the start of Phase Five.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige himself said that Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror will be amazing and impressive. After their presentation in this year’s SDCC, Feige said:

It comes down to the cast and with Jonathan Majors, who I think took over the Hall H stage, you know, in the three minutes he was up there. It’s amazing, and I said to him there’s nobody’s shoulders I’d rather be putting the multiverse saga on than his.

Also, Feige disclosed that Majors will be portraying several versions of Kang in the movie. He continues:

It’s really impressive what Jonathan Majors is able to do and all the different incarnations, variants, if you will, of Kang that we will see him do. It’s really pretty cool.
