Ben Affleck’s new Batsuit in The Flash has been fully revealed with the release of the first wave of merchandise.
Even with the controversy surrounding Ezra Miller, The Flash still remains one of 2023’s most anticipated theatrical releases. Word of mouth has already gotten around about the movie’s high quality.
So far The Flash has received nothing but endless praise from all those who’ve been lucky enough to see it. Reported reactions from test audiences claim it’s the greatest movie that DC’s made since The Dark Knight.
Quite the claim.
As expected, both David Zaslav and James Gunn (the heads of Warner Bros. and DC Studios) we’re greatly impressed. Gunn even went the extra mile to call The Flash one of greatest superhero movies he’d ever seen.

In addition, even Hollywood legend Tom Cruise has for some reason been given early access to the full film. His reaction was just as positive as others we’ve heard so far with Cruise reportedly claiming it to be:
“The kind of movie we need now.”
As a result of all this, anticipation for The Flash is currently at an all-time high. Nevertheless, anticipation for the long awaited solo film has always been high.
Even more so after the first trailer that was shown during the Super Bowl earlier this year. After all, it’ll feature the debut of Sasha Calle as Supergirl and Michael Keaton’s exciting return as Batman.
Moreover, we’ll also see Ben Affleck suit up as The Dark Knight one last time during the movie’s first act. Originally Affleck was set to make future appearances as Batman in the DCEU after The Flash.
Jason Momoa confirmed via his Instagram that Ben Affleck would have a small role in Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom. Unfortunately this appearance has likely been cut after David Zaslav’s takeover and the formation of DC Studios.
This means that The Flash will most likely mark the end for Ben Affleck’s portrayal of Batman. Unless Netflix decides to restore the SnyderVerse.
Recently Ben Affleck explained that he only has around five minutes of screen time in the movie’s final cut. While talking to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor explained:
“Yeah, I did finally figure out how to play that character, and I nailed it in The Flash. For the five minutes I’m there, it’s really great. A lot of it’s just tone.”
Be that as it may, this hasn’t lessened fan’s excitement to see Ben Affleck’s Batman in action once again. For a while now, MacFarlane Toys has been producing action figures based on DC films, TV shows and video games.
For The Flash, action figures for the title character, Michael Keaton’s Batman and Sasha Calle’s Supergirl have been produced. A figure of Ben Affleck in his new Batsuit has also been revealed.
Pictures of this upcoming toy have given us our best look yet at the details of this new suit. However the paint applications on the figure make it appear darker than it actually looks in the trailer.
Batman’s cape and cowl have a dark blue tone as call back to his classic comic book colour scheme. The figure however is completely black from head-to-toe minus the belt and mouth.

Despite this, collector’s are still more than eager to get their hands on it. Many consider Affleck to be the best live action adaptation of the iconic superhero to date.
So it’s no surprise that new merchandise based on his upcoming appearance will quickly be disappearing from store shelves.
