Ezra Miller's Apology Bodes Well For Their SnyderVerse Future

Andy Muschietti continued to secure high scores for The Flash at test screenings. When it comes to reviews, DC movies overall haven’t achieved the kind of regular success their MCU competitors have had since their debut with 2008’s Iron Man. Rave reviews from critics and audiences play a significant role in a film’s success, like it or not.

Marvel Studios are so used to praise that, when their movies are panned, it feels like the end of the world. And they take a bite out of ticket purchases. For example, they hurt Eternals and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania at the cash registers. DC films often take a beating critically and then commercially. Shazam! Fury of the Gods maintained that unfortunate trend.

On the other hand, director Andy Muschietti’s The Flash has sped away with people’s hearts. The Flash has been consistently impressing audiences in further test screenings. Without a doubt, Andy Muschietti has a winner here. So far, there’s only been glowing reactions to The Flash by those who’ve attended test screenings for the upcoming DC movie.

Some have even compared The Flash to Christopher Nolan’s universally beloved masterpiece The Dark Knight. In addition, DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn has even named it one of the best superhero movies he’s ever seen. Moreover, Hollywood legend Tom Cruise was given early access to the final cut of the hotly anticipated film. To everyone’s surprise, his reaction was also overwhelmingly positive.

In fact, he even called Andy Muschietti to give his honest opinion.

With constant rewrites, director changes and behind-the-scenes drama, hope for The Flash was minimal. Furthermore, Ezra Miller’s bizarre antics throughout the past few years haven’t helped, either.

Nonetheless, these optimistic responses from test audiences have seemingly turned the tide in its favor.

Warner Bros. Discovery is extremely confident in The Flash and is certain that the movie will be a colossal success. So much so that the studio is planning to have a special screening at CinemaCon this week. The Flash isn’t set to premiere in theaters until June 16.

Should the movie end up being a huge hit, Ezra Miller will likely continue portraying the character. Whether or not the rest of the world will have the same love for The Flash remains to be seen. It’s now been reported that further test screenings have recently taken place. The Flash has been receiving nothing but endless compliments from audiences.

Apparently the scores from this latest screening are said to be “through the roof!”

Already this has increased global anticipation for The Flash tenfold. The first official trailer for the project generated an incredible amount of hype. Mostly due to the appearances of Ben Affleck’s and Michael Keaton’s Batmans and Sasha Calle’s Supergirl.

A second trailer for The Flash will be publicly released next week to coincide with the CinemaCon premiere. With the looming soft reboot coming from Gunn, there still those who are skeptical about the movie.

For Warner Bros.’ sake, their high confidence in The Flash needs to pay off. Certainly, The Flash needs to make people forget Miller’s baggage. Beyond that, audiences and fans remain puzzled by Gunn’s DC reboot. George Clooney’s rumored cameo in The Flash creates more confusion. Still, insiders explain that The Flash is so good that questions about DC’s future is Gunn’s problem to solve and won’t affect The Flash at the box office.

As for Andy Muschietti, this could make him DC Studios’ star director.
