Amber Heard Seemingly Missing From Aquaman 2 Reshoots

Amber Heard’s Mera is seemingly missing from Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom‘s additional photography. Granted, this could mean nothing. After all, those scenes might not require her presence.

However, YouTube personality Syl Abdul smells smoke. Is there a fire nearby? It’s getting hot in here.

Abdul became a DCEU power scooper last summer. On July 28, I covered his report that the Aquaman sequel added Ben Affleck’s Batman. Predictably, the usual gang of toxic keyboard warriors scoffed.

However, the next day star Jason Momoa himself confirmed Affleck joined the movie.

Afterwards, Abdul went on a roll. He accurately leaked The Flash‘s reshoots and the cancellation of the Supergirl movie. Mammoth media outlets such as Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone repeated the same information after Abdul. They’re trying to catch up with him.

Thus, when Abdul revealed Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom faced massive rewrites on August 31, it demanded attention. Once again Momoa provided evidence. Last week, Momoa posted images of new filming on the set. After all, script changes require more shooting.

According to Abdul, “Almost everyone is back on set.” Almost is the key word. Indeed, “Mera is still a mystery.” On July 26, Abdul explained that the new scenes featured Mera. However, nobody could tell him who the actress was. Abdul now admits the actress’ identity is “heavily guarded.”

Thus, that triggers the question. If it is Amber Heard, why hide it? Abdul feels that “Amber Heard can’t be back in this film.” In fact, he’s “leaning towards recast.” On the other hand, Abdul argues that “Mera wasn’t that important to the plot.” Therefore, they could “cut out the Mera character.” Still, Warner Bros. Discovery is “hiding it.”

Hiding what exactly?

After her ex-husband Johnny Depp won his defamation case against her, that ended Amber Heard’s Mera future. Did they cut her off already? Insiders told me Warner Bros. Discovery wanted Emilia Clarke.

How soon is now?

Rumors of Emilia Clarke as the new Mera haven’t vanished. On the other hand, there are no Amber Heard sightings. The plot becomes as thick as the seven seas. Good news they’re bringing?
